There were two other options apart from sugarcane -- carrot and orange -- as per reports.

In the poll, 81 percent or 7,616 people cast their votes for sugarcane juice, 15 percent for orange juice and 4 percent preferred carrot.

Hence, sugarcane juice is now the official national drink of Pakistan.
