ANSWER ⇒ Credit Note .
Credit Note is made by the buyer to credit the account of the person named therein.
It might be prepared by buyer in case the seller has debited the amount to the buyer by a larger amount than agreed due to incorrect initial invoicing or to pass on the discount agreed with the customer, or to give credit for the goods returned by the buyer.
The impact of credit note is that it reduces the indebtedness of customer towards the supplier, i.e. the purchaser does not have to make payment to the extent of the amount mentioned in the credit Note.
