Hi pupil here's your answer ::

0.5  or 1/2  is the only number that becomes double when divided by itself and becomes half when multiplied by itself.

EXAMPLE :: 0.5/0.5=1 ( double of 0.5)and 1/2÷1/2=1

Answer: \dfrac{1}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know when we divide a number by itself it becomes 1.

Now let the number be x

so, according to question

   2x=1\\\\\Rightarrow x=\dfrac{1}{2}\ \ [\text{Divide 2 on the both sides}]

Therefore \dfrac{1}{2} is the number which becomes double when divided by itself.
