0 can be written as 0/1. But if we do it's reciprocal, we have 1/0 and anything divided by zero is infinity(which is not defined in mathematics). So, reciprocal of zero is not defined. Therefore, 1 is the only number whose reciprocal 1/1 = 1 is the number itself.
