The first point where I want you to correct is that springs are not generally made up of an element… as we know that spring are used to store mechanical energy in it; when it is being compressed or extended … so here an element is not being used… however a homogeneous mixture of two or more than two metals is used and we know that this homogeneous mixture is known as and Alloy…

Generally we have a steel or rather we should say a hardened steel for this purpose…

however in some instances spring made of bronze is also used and in some toys and similar products plastic springs are also used

but the core fact is that spring are made of homogeneous mixture of metals, i.e., alloy.
