fat is known to be the hardest substance to digest and it is done mostly in the small intestines. There needs to be enough bile produced and released by the gall bladder to do this, and to my knowledge the human body needs a little amount of good saturated fat such as ghee ( from grass-fed cows is best ) to produce and release enough bile to digest fat, so you could say it is a little fat cycle, like the water cycle in nature!

I have also heard it once described as being like a washing machine with really tough clothes to clean, so the digestive system really needs to work to break down fats into much smaller components to pass into the bloodstream and to all the cells, simply put. But of course, the fatty acids and glycerol they end up as are meant to be sources of energy for cells like all digested food, and if they don’t end up being used as energy by enough exercise per day, then they will end up being stored as fat cells, as cellulite, and on the walls of blood vessels.

The process digesting fats starts in the mouth like with all foods, and most people don’t think this and gulp down food instead of chewing it really thoroughly, and this is quite dangerous long-term.

Digestive enzyme needed to digest fats is Lipase. When people have weakened digestive system the inability to digest and therefore metabolize fats is often the first thing to be affected. So in terms of energy, only enough fat to digest fat is needed, and only more if you are using most of it every day.

Digestion begins in the mouth.

In the mouth starch is digested.

There are two importance of digestion and taking of food.

1) Digestion breaks down nutrients to finer particles that can be assimilated into the bloodstream.

2) Digestion breaks down fats to provide heat energy to the body.

This is the reason we feel hot after digestion.

Therefore the energy produced at the end of digestion is heat energy.
