the second quation is a polynomial as the power of the equation is 1.

equation 1and 4 are a trinomial as the highest power is 3

and equation 3 is a binomial as the highest power is 2

Answer:

1) 1/2 + x³ - 2x² + √6

= x³ - 2x² + √6 + 1/2

:- This one is polynomial because the exponents are natural numbers and aren't fractional or integer.

2) x + 1/x

= x + x^-1

:- As you can see the exponent of the variable is an integer and not a natural number so this one is not a polynomial.

3) 2x² + 3x - 5√x + 6

On Simplifying , we get

= 2x² + 3x - 5x^1/2 + 6

:- It's clearly not a polynomial because the exponent of the variable is not a natural number but a fraction.

4) 5 - x - x² - x³

= x³ - x² - x + 5

:- It's a polynomial because the exponent of the variable is a natural number.
