Step-by-step explanation:

Given Which of the following are ap’s if they form an ap write three more terms 3 + 2 root 2, 3 + 3 root 2, 3 + 4 root 2

  • So we have 3, 3 + √2, 3 + 2√2, 3 + 3√2, 3 + 4√2
  • So difference between second and first term will be 3 + √2 – 3 = √2
  • Difference between third and second term will be 3 + 2√2 – (3 + √2)
  •                                                                             = 3 + 2√2 – 3 - √2
  •                                                                              = √2
  • Since difference is same it is an A.P. So d = √2
  • So we need to find 5,6 and 7th term
  • So 5th term = 4th term + common difference.
  •                    = (3 + 3√2) + √2
  •                     = 3 +   4√2
  • Now 6th term = 5th term + common difference
  •                      = 3 + 4√2 + √2
  •                      = 3 + 5√2
  • Also 7th term = 6th term + common difference
  •                     = 3 + 5√2 + √2
  •                   = 3 + 6√2
