Answer:

Given series,

-10, -6, -2, 2.....

Let the terms be,

  • a1 = -10
  • a2 = -6
  • a3 = -2
  • a4 = 2

To find the Common difference (d) ,

a2 - a1 = -6 - (-10) = - 6 + 10 = 4

a4 - a3 = 2 - (-2) = 2 + 2 = 4

Therefore the common difference (d) is constant. So r given series is in AP

Next three more terms are a5, a6 & a7

a5 = a + 4d = -10 + 4(4) = -10 + 16 = 6

a6 = a + 5d = -10 + 5(4) = -10 + 20 = 10

a7 = a + 6d = -10 + 6(4) = -10 + 24 = 14

Therefore, the next three terms are 6,10,14...
