Answer:

to find : according to question we are asked to find equations with variables.

Now , what are variables ?

A variable is a letter or symbol used to represent a quantity that can change. Any letter can be used, but x and y are common.

we are given with following equations to find variables :

(a) 12 = x – 5  , in this equation we have  ' x ' as variable .

(b) 2x > 7 , here  we have ' x ' variable.

(c) x/2= 5 , here also ' x ' is the variable

(d) 5 + 7 = 3 + 9 , in this equation there is no variable as above .

(e) 7 = (11 x 5) – (12 x 4)  , this equation doesn't contain any variable.

hence ,  only equation a , b and c contains variable.
