Hello Mate! Here is the answer to your question.

(i) The first case is in inverse proportion. Consider if the workers are lesser in number. Then the time taken for them to complete a huge work becomes more. If there are more workers, then they would complete their job easily in a very lesser amount of time.

  • More workers = Less time
  • Fewer workers = More Time

Hence, Option (i) is in inverse proportion.

(ii) The second case is in direct proportion.

We know that,

\implies\sf{Speed = \dfrac{Distance}{Time}}

Therefore,

\implies\sf{Distance = Speed \times Time}

We can see that, Distance is directly proportional to the time taken. If the time taken is more, then the distance covered in a journey is greater and vice versa.

Hence, Option (ii) is in direct proportion.

(iii) The third case is in direct proportion. If the area of land is larger, then we can cultivate more crops in that field. If the area of land is smaller, we can only cultivate a smaller amount of crops.

Hence, Option (iii) is in direct proportion.

Overall, Option (i) is the only case that is in inverse proportion.

Hope it helps you!
