chloroplasts are not present in animal cell as they are in plant cells for doing photosynthesis.
cell wall are also not present in animal cell.

Answer:

Chloroplast, cell wall and vacuoles are absent in an animal cell.

Explanation:

  • Chloroplasts are double membrane-bound cell organelles. These are the chlorophyll-containing green-coloured plastids that perform photosynthesis. Since animals are not capable of performing photosynthesis they do not contain chloroplasts in their cells.
  • Cell walls are the fairly rigid, protective and supportive layer surrounding the cell external to the plasma membrane in plants, bacteria and fungi but not animal cells. The cell wall protects the cell against any desiccation/drying or mechanical injury.
  • Vacuoles are the non-cytoplasmic areas bounded by a single membrane. The main function of the large vacuole in a plant cell is the disposal of all the garbage and waste, unessential materials in the cell. However, vacuoles are mostly absent in animal cells. But lysosomes carry out the function of vacuoles in the animal cells.
  • The nucleus is concerned with the storage of the cell’s hereditary material or DNA.
  • It regulates a cell’s activity such as metabolism, growth, protein synthesis, and cell division.
  • The mitochondria are known as the powerhouse of the cell, present in all eukaryotic cells, such as plant and animal cells, and are responsible for the generation of energy currency called ATP so that the cells can be used as an energy source.

Hence among the following Chloroplast, cell walls and vacuoles are not present in an animal cell.
