Real numbers are categorized in two category

Rational and irrational

Rational number can be expressed as p/q

Where p and q are integers and q≠ 0

All other real numbers which  are not rational are irrational

0/5       is Rational  as  0 and 5 are integers  and  5 ≠ 0

2   can be expressed as 2/1  is rational as  2 and 1 are integers  and  1 ≠ 0

3/4   is Rational  as  3 and4 are integers  and  4 ≠ 0

-1/√2    is not rational  as √2  is not integer

5/0​  is   not rational   as  denominator has 0

Rational numbers :   0/5 , 2 , 3/4

Not rational    - 1/√2  ,  5/0
