(a) π is a constant value which is equal to 22/7 which is a rational value because it could be written in the form of p/q but the another value of π is 3.14.. which can't be witten in the perfect whole number so in this case it would not be rational number.

(b) √4 = 2 is a rational number because it can be written in the form of p/q (2/1) where the value of q is not equal to zero.
