• It was also known as GSAT-3. (geostationary satellite)
• It is an artificial satellite that is a medium for distant education from primary to secondary and higher secondary education.
• It was launched by ISRO {Indian Space research organisation } in the year 2011 in the month of August.
• On around 22 November 2013, it was in an orbit with a pedigree of about 644 kilometres, an apogee of 699 kilometres, 98.20° inclination and a period of 98.04" minutes.
