On 25th June, 1876, Lieutenant Custer and the 7th Cavalry charged into battle against Lakota Sioux and Northern Cheyenne Indians. . Earlier in late 1875, Sioux and Cheyenne Indians defiantly left their reservations, got angry over the continued intrusions of whites into their holly lands in the Black Hills.
