ANSWER -:

The third side of the triangle is 5 cm .

_____________________________

EXPLANATION-:

We know that ,

The sum of the lengths of any two sides

of a triangle is always greater than the

length of the third side.

Then ,

18 cm + 14cm > 3rd side

3rd side < 32 c m

The difference of the lengths of any two

sides of a triangle is always smaller than

the length of the third side.

Then ,

18- 14 < 3rd side

4cm < 3rd side

Therefore 5cm is the length of the third

side .

Triangle -:

A triangle is a polygon with three edges

and three vertices. It is one of the basic

shapes in geometry.
