We know,that in a right triangle H²=B²+P²

In option a:-

The hypotenuse is 8 cm and base and perpendicular are 4cm each.

So,(8)²=(4)²+(4)² (Pythagoras theorem)

=>64=16+16

=>64=32

Since,we can see that the sides are not satisfying the Pythagoras theorem,so 4cm,4cm and 8cm cannot be sides of a right triangle.

In option B:-

The hypotenuse is 5cm,the base is 3cm and height is 4cm.

So,H²=B²+P²

=>(5)²=(3)²+(4)² (Pythagoras theorem)

=>25=9+16

=>25=25

Since,we can see that the sides are satisfying Pythagoras theorem,so 3cm,4cm and 5cm can be sides of a right triangle.

Hence,correct answer is answer is option b.
