The phenomenon which is not explained by the wave theory of light is the Photoelectric Effect.
- The photoelectric effect tells about that maximum kinetic energy of the electrons is independent of the intensity which is opposite to the fact of the wave nature of light that is it explains that intensity radiation is proportional to the photoelectric current. Therefore more the intensity more will be the photoelectric current.
- The wave nature also not able to explain about the threshold energy required in the photoelectric effect.
