The following electrolytes is least effective in  coagulating ferric hydroxide solution?

(a) KBr

Amongst the electrolytes present, the one where after electrolysis, least number of anions come out is said to be the one with least effective in coagulating ferric hydroxide solution (Fe³⁺).

When KBr is electrolysed only one mole of Br⁻ anion is produced, which is the least compared to the other electrolytes present.

So, KBr is the required electrolyte.

Option (a) is correct.
