The Electronic configuration of nitrogen atom - 1s2 2s2 2p3

The Electronic configuration of boron atom - 1s2 2s2 2p1

The Electronic configuration of nitrogen atom - 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p3

Only phosphorus contains d-orbital whereas none of nitrogen , carbon , boron contain the d-orbital in their valence shell . Thus it can form pπ - dπ bond.
