which of the following expressions are polynomial in one variable and which are not ? Give reason for your answer .
(i) 3x² - 2x + 5 (ii) x² + √2 ( iii ) p² - 3p + q ( iv ) y + 2/y (v) 5√x + x√5 (vi) x¹⁰⁰ + y¹⁰⁰

(1)3x²-2x+5 it is a polynomial in one variable.

(2)x²+√2 it is polynomial in one variable.

(3)p²-3p+q it is not a polynomial in one variable because it has two variables.

(4)y+2/y it is not a polynomial. bcoz there is a exponent.

(5)5√x+x√5 it is not a polynomial bcoz there is a exponent

(6)x¹⁰⁰+y¹⁰⁰ it is not a polynomial in one variable
