An expression that is not a polynomial is

a) 5x³-3x²-√x+2

A polynomial is a function defined as an equation consisting of one or more than one algebraic term and each term will have a constant and one or more than one variable. The condition is, these variables should have their power as a non-negative whole integer.

keeping in mind the condition we can analyse which of the given options are polynomial and which are not.

So in option a) third time is √x having constant as -1 and variable x having power 1/2 which is not a whole number. So this equation will not be considered a polynomial.

Other than this all the equation has variables with the power which is whole negative integers.
