Mg has largest size bcz it has 12 electrons......

and Al3+ has already donated 3 electrons so it has only 10 electrons ..

Al3+ has the smallest size.
Because of the charge present on it. Al has +3 charge it means it has given out 3 of its electrons from its valance shell. So the number of protons do not vary but the electrons are reduced thus the more number of protons(13) attract the 10 electrons closer to the nucleus thus the size of the Al is compressed and becomes small. And as the valance shell is empty its size gets reduced.

And Mg has the largest size. As we have the periodic property atomic radius that decreases from left to right in a period because the effective nuclear charge increases as the differentiating electron enters into the same shell. Thus we have the period Na,Mg,Al.....

Comparing Mg and Al Mg has the largest size.

Hope this helps.
