Bio-degradable: Any substance that does not cause pollution and is capable of getting decomposed by any living organism.

Non Bio-degradable: Any substance that cannot be decomposed and cause pollution to the environment.

Kitchen wastes are bio-degradable.

Unlike the Aluminum cans, plastics and D.D.T. which cannot be decomposed easily or cannot decomposed at all, the kitchen wastes include vegetable wastes which are easily decomposed.
