As far as I am concerned with the present situation / condition of rivers in a particular area , Industrial wastes are one of the most polluting factor in rivers because the waste generated by industries contains a huge amount of lead , sulphur and other harmful materials which decreases the Oxygen content present in water ( H 2 O ) which is really harmful for aquatic plants and animals as it kills many of them .
