Lobe fish is an example of link species.

Lobe-finned fishes or the lobe fishes are the species that were found as the closest relationship between the animals in the sea and the animals that ventures into the land (amphibians).

The ‘fins’ of lobe-finned fishes different from all other and each is borne on a “fleshy, lobe-like, scaly stalk” expand from the body. These fish fossils were found in Canada in the Quebec region and are maintained in the Canadian Museum of Nature. Their lobe-shaped fins enabled their venture into the land.
