There are different stages of development in plant. These are seed development, germination, juvenility, maturation, flowering, fruiting, senescence and death. In first stage, the growth and development of the seed takes place within the parent plant. It is followed by germination of the seed. Following germination, juvenility takes place. In this, plant increases in size and differentiate into stems, leaves and roots. The next step is reproduction. It includes production of flowers, fruits, and seeds. In fruit producing plant, flowering is followed by fruiting.
