Answer :- Predicting the amount of rainfall for a particular day

Above answer is not a classification task. It is a regression task.

A classification tasks is when the output variable is a category e.g. primary, high school, college. A classification model will try to draw some conclusion from observed values. Given one or more inputs, classification model will make attempt to predict the value of one or more outcomes.

The answer to the question is option a," Predicting whether it will rain or not on a particular day".

It is not a classification task because, here the machine is making predictions instead of classifying into categories.

In AI and insights, classification is the issue of distinguishing to which of a lot of classifications another perception has a place, based on a preparation set of information containing perceptions whose class enrollment is known.
