Liver releases bile juice and salts and store it into gall bladder... These substance help in emulsification of fats ie. it breaks down the big fat particles into smaller one then they are absorbed by the lymp vessels (lacteal) present in our small intestine so liver doesn't digest the fats..

But rest all works are performed by the liver... ie. Detoxification of drugs, Deamination of proteins and production of RBC in foetus after 3rd month
