Answer

- exposure to humidity

Explanation

Erosion can be averted by creating a barrier between the object and oxygen. Galvanisation is a process to help erosion and so is oil. However, exposure to humidity isn't a system to help erosion.

Methods for prevention of erosion

The rusting of iron can be averted by greasing, painting, charging, anodizing, or slicking the face. These methods can be classified into the following orders

Galvanization

Galvanized essence is coated with a thin layer of zinc to cover it against erosion. The zinc oxidizes when it's exposed to air creating a defensive coating on the essence face.

Alloying

It's the system of perfecting the parcels of the essence by mixing the essence with another essence or nonmetal. When iron is alloyed with chromium and nickel ,stainless steel is attained. Stainless steel doesn't rust at all.

Painting

Rusting of iron can be fluently averted by sheeting the face with makeup which protects iron from air and humidity.

Greasing/ Oiling

When some grease oil painting is applied to the face of an iron object, also air and humidity can not come in contact with it, and hence rusting is averted.
