(d) Which of the following is not a projectile an aeroplane in flight

Projectile Motion:

Whenever any material or object is thrown obliquely towards the surface of the Earth, it tends to move in curved path with a constant acceleration centered towards the center of the earth, such material is called projectile and motion is termed as projectile motion.

So,

a. Whenever any bullet is fired it would move in straight line till an extent and then tend to lower the level and fall on ground with projectile motion.

b. Also similar applies for shell from canon as that off bullet from a gun.

c. An hammer thrown by athlete would also move in straight level till an extent and tend to fall down making projectile motion after particular period.

d. An aeroplane in flight will never fall or come in contact with earth's surface making projectile motion as it has its own controls and can control the landing acceleration.

Therefore, an aeroplane in flight is not projectile.
