Given,

The four triplets are = (6,8,0) , (10,26,24) , (9,12,15) and (2,5,7)

To find,

Which one is not a Pythagorean triplet.

Solution,

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

Now, in case of a Pythagorean triplet the sum of the squares of the two smaller number will be equal to the square of the biggest number.

We have to analyse one by one.

  1. (6,8,10) » (6)²+(8)² = 100 = (10)²
  2. (10,26,24) » (10)²+(24)² = 676 = (26)²
  3. (9,12,15) » (9)²+(12)² = 225 = (15)²
  4. (2,5,7) » (2)²+(5)² = 29 ≠ (7)²

The (2,5,7) doesn't satisfy the condition of being a Pythagorean triplet.

Hence, (2,5,7) is not a Pythagorean triplet.
