What is the solution of pair of linear equations 3x - 2y = 4 and 9x - 6y = 12 [ correct question]

Given:

3x - 2y = 4 and 9x - 6y = 12

To find:

Solution of the equation.

Solution:

The equation we have given is the linear equation in two variables.

the one equation is

  • 3x - 2y = 4

and the other one is

  • 9x - 6y = 12

and that is the 3 times of the first equation,

hence these lines are the concurrent lines means the solution of both of the equations is same.

the solution is given by:

When x = 0

from the equation 3x - 2y = 4

We get the value of y as -2

(0,-2)

When y = 1

from the equation 3x - 2y = 4

We get the value of x as 2

(2,1)

Solutions of the equation are (0,-2) and (2,1)
