x+y=0+7=7

x+y=(-5)+(-2)=-5-2= –7

As the second solution adds up to –7, it is not a solution of x+y=7

Given:

The given expression is x+y=7.

To find:

We have to find which one is not the solution of the expression among (0,7) (-5,-2) (5,2) (14,-7).

Solution:

The expression is x+y=7

Putting the value of (x, y) as (0,7) in the equation we get-

0 + 7 = 7

Hence it is the solution of the equation.

Putting the value of (x, y) as (-5,-2) in the equation we get-

 - 5 - 2 = - 7

Hence it is not the solution of the equation.

Putting the value of (x, y) as (5,2) in the equation we get-

5 + 2 = 7

Hence it is the solution of the equation.

Putting the value of (x, y) as (14,-7) in the equation we get-

14 - 7 = 7

Hence it is the solution of the equation.

Thus (-5,-2) is not the solution of the equation.
