Answer: (c) Mercury Thermometer

Explanation:

To Find : Which of the following is not an application of IoT?

Given : (a) Smart Homes,  (b) Wearable Gadgets,  (c) Mercury Thermometer

Concept :

IoT stands for Internet of Things. The Internet of things (IoT) describes the physical objects (or groups of such objects) with sensors, processing ability, software, and other technologies that connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the Internet / network or other communications networks. Internet of things has been considered a miscalled because devices do not need to be connected to the public internet, they only need to be connected to a network and be individually addressable. The Internet of Things is a network of networks of uniquely identifiable endpoints or ‘things’  that communicate without human interference using IP connectivity which is either ‘locally’ or globally. So anything that requires human interference or control is not considered an element of the IoT .  So examples of IoT are not including smartphones, tablets, PCs, etc. as IoT devices.
