There are four phases of trade cycle which are

  • recovery
  • boom
  • recession
  • depression  

whereas, cyclical changes can be short term or long term. Such changes repeat themselves after fixed cycles unlike trade cycles do not occur at fixed periods. Monsoon is one such example of cyclical changes.
