Maize is not an unisexual flower and it is a bisexual flower.

Monoecious plants have both and female part on a similar plant yet on various blooms. That is to say, there is a male fower and a female bloom on a similar plant.  

Inverse of Monoecious is dioecius which have male blossom on other plant and the female bloom on other plant.  

While then again , a swinger plant has just a single kind of bloom which comprise of both male an a female parts.

Maize seems to be bisexual.


It is not unisexual as both male and female parts are there in the plant. This question is part of botany.
