answer : option (c) NaCl

explanation : A semiconductor means a solid substance that allows heat or electricity to pass through it in particular conditions. here Si, Ge , CdS ( cadmium sufide) is an semiconductor because it doesn't use in place of conductor in normal but when in particular conditions, it works as a conductor.

but NaCl is an ionic salt compound. it is both Na and Cl are conductor of electricity and when we place it in water, it dissociates in Na+ and Cl- . and hence, it is conductor not semiconductor.

so, option (c) NaCl
