Olympics is not a specific sport programme.

Specific sport programme:

"Specific sports programmes are such programmes of sports which are not usually related to competitions. These programmes have various objectives such as creating awareness among peoples regarding unity, health & diseases and so on"

Examples of specific sports programme:

  • Sports day - Sports days are conducted in schools every year as a recreational activity for the well-being of the students thus helps to enhance their talent. Every child has the oppurtunity to participate in any activity of their choice.
  • Health runs - These are usually organised by the Health and Sports Department to improve health standard and to collect charity funds. In this programme there is no age limit and no competition, hence anybody interested shall participate.
  • Run for F un - This programme involves running along with various  fun activities with no competition. It is to raise health awareness and to collect charity funds.

Olympics is an international sports festival with competitions in various sports which is conducted across the world for every four years.
