Answer:

As the value of Pie is given by 22/7 or 3.14 options a and d are false.

Coming to 355/113 its value comes to be 3.141912 so it is also referred as pie.

THEREFORE the correct answer is B

7/22 is not a value of π

Given:

  • Different Values
  • (a) 22/7
  • (b) 7/22
  • (c) 355/113
  • (d) 3.14

To Find:

  • Which is not the value of π

Solution:

  • π is the ratio of of circumference and diameter  of a circle
  • π = C/d
  • C = Circumference of a circle
  • d = diameter of circle
  • d = 2r  where r is radius of the circle

π is an irrational number hence its very difficult to find exact value

π ≈  3.14159

π ≈  3.1415926535897932384626433  for much better approximations

For Simplifying calculation

π = 3.14 and 22/7 are used commonly

355/113 ≈ 3.14159

Hence 355/113 is also t the value of π

But 7/22 ≈ 0.3182  is too far from 3.14 Hence not a value of π

Option b) 7/22 is not a value of π
