In any triangle, the sum of any two sides is always greater than the third side.

Also, the difference between any two sides is always lesser than the third side.

Thus, for any triangle having sides as a,b and c units, we have :- a+b > c , b+c > a and a+c > b.

And also, |a-b| < c, |b-c| < a and |a-c| < b.

Now in question number :

(1) The sides are 3,5,3.

3+5 > 3 which is 8 > 3

3+3 > 5 which is 6 > 5

Also,

|3–5| = 2 < 3.3–3| = 0 < 5.

Hence, this triangle is possible!

(2) The sides are 4,3,8.

Here, 4+3 = 7 < 8 which violates the triangle inequality.

Thus, such a triangle is not possible.
