Answer:

Science has special knowledge of nature. Although man has been acquiring knowledge related to nature since ancient times, yet science is a product of ancient times. It started in this era and within a short time it has made great progress. Thus a huge revolution took place in the world and a new civilization, based on science, was created.

The method of testing the phenomena occurring in the universe also evolved gradually. It is better to do some experiments on it and to inspect it carefully rather than speaking or arguing about anything. The results of this method are universal in the sense that one can test the data obtained by repeating those experiments.

So far, scientific method is the best among invented methods to separate truth from untruth and confusion. In short, the scientific method works as follows:

(1) observe any component or event of the universe, [1]

(2) Suggest a possible hypothesis that matches the data obtained,

(3) Make some prediction based on this hypothesis,

(4) Now also try to see if the above predictions are proved true by the data obtained from the experiment. If there is some discrepancy between the data and the prediction, then change the hypothesis accordingly,

(5) Repeat steps (3) and (4) above until there is complete consistency in the data obtained from theory and experiment.

Logical positivists thought that the criterion for a theory to be 'scientific' was that it could be tested (anytime, by anyone). [2] [3] [4] But Karl Popper thought that this thinking was wrong. is. Corl Popper said that no theory is a 'scientific theory' as long as that theory can be proved wrong in any one way. [5] [6] [7] [8]

The biggest feature of a scientific theory or scientific hypothesis is that there should be scope to prove it to be untrue. Whereas religious beliefs are such that there is no scope to disprove them. For example, 'Those who follow the path shown by Jesus, only those will go to heaven' - its truth cannot be examined.
