Answer:

Newton's law of gravitation  is used to discover new stars and planets i.e. option(d).

Explanation:

According to the Newton's law of gravitation,

"Every particle in the universe attracts every other particle with a force".

F=\frac{Gm_1m_2}{r^2}       (1)

Where,

G=universal gravitational constant=6.6×10⁻¹¹Nm²kg⁻²

m₁=mass of the first body

m₂=mass of the second body

r=distance between the bodies

Where we know the mass of the earth is 6×10²⁴kg. Which will act as the first body in equation (1) and by the use of satellites, we will be able to find the distance between the planets and the force acting between them. Hence from equation (1), we can find the mass of the second body. And this can indicate the discovery of new planets and stars.

Hence, Newton's law of gravitation  is used to discover new stars and planets i.e. option(d).
