Answer: The biological magnification along with 1% Law limits the number of tropic levels.

Explanation: (i) Due to bio magnification, huge amount of toxins gets accumulated in the last tropic level. So more the tropic level, more is the accumulation of toxins in last level.

(ii) Due to 1% Law , the amount of energy the last tropic level gets is very small. So more the tropic level, least is the energy received from preceding level.
