In the reactivity series, the metals that come above hydrogen have the ability to displace hydrogen as they are more reactive than it, For eg. Calcium (Ca) and on the other hand the metals that come below hydrogen in the reactivity series for eg. Copper(Cu), Silver(Ag), Gold(Au) are less reactive than hydrogen and hence they cannot displace hydrogen.
