The operation have to be carried out in the order in which they appear in the word 'BODMAS'has where,

B-Bracket

O - Of

D - \div

M- \times

A - (+)

S - (-)

Here, 0.6\times12?2-1.25=2.85-0.5\\

The ? is divide, So according to 'BODMAS' Rule we have,

0.6\times12?2-1.25=2.85-0.5\\0.6\times12\div2-1.25=2.85-0.5\\0.6\times6-1.25=2.85-0.5\\3.6-1.25=2.85-0.5\\2.35=2.35

Hence, \div is the correct operator.
