the lines parallel to x-axis is given by

y = a , where a is any real value on y axis.

note that , on a line parallel to x -axis , every points lying on it , would have same y- coordinate.

only, the x- coordinate of the points will vary , but the y- coordinate will remain constant for all the points lying on the line parallel to x-axis.

here we have,two points, namely;

(-4,5) and (10,5)

here, the y- coordinate for both the points are same ( ie. y=5 ) thus , this pair of points represent a line parallel to x-axis .
