Which of the following quantum numbers for orbitals in hydrogen atom has a greater energy

for electrons ?

(i) n = 3, l = 2 and m = +1 (ii) n = 3, l = 2 and m = -1

hey,.... it represents 3d subshell...and in both case energy will be same .

+1 and -1 is just orbitals. represented by magnetic quantum number.
