(a) CH_4(g) + H_2O(g) \xrightarrow[Ni]{1270 K} CO(g) + 3H_2(g)
(b) C(s) + H_2O(g) \xrightarrow[]{1270 K} CO(g) + H_2(g)
(c) CO(s) + H_2O(g) \xrightarrow[Catalyst]{673K} CO_2(g) + H_2(g)

(c) this is water shift gas reaction,

used in synthesis of hydrogen from synthesis gas(or syn gas). By this reaction CO is converted to CO2 and H2 also obtained from the water.
